This game has ever since brought my son and I closer again, and now on the weekends, when I’m free from work, we actually spend time together outside of the house as well. I’ve gotten older since I last went hiking, and don’t have the energy I used to, so to sit down and play with him, in a way he knew how, was like a dream come true. I loved it, as it was the only real bonding time I’ve spent with my son, since we went hiking, and played games on the Wii years ago. I asked my son for help, and he was able to host a game for me to join. I loaded into the game, did the tutorial, but unlike games on the Wii, I couldn’t find a couch co op option to play with him through. Shroud of the Avatar is about testing one’s character on a path filled with peril and tough decisions. In a bid to bond with my son, I decided to make a Steam account, and acquire this game, to see if I could play alongside him. This was devastating for me, as it was already hard enough for me to spend time with my son, on account of his disability, which makes him non verbal and not quite mentally there, resulting in him to be under the care of social support workers, who cater to his disability, while I am at work.

Recently, Tony downloaded Apex Legends, and in less than a week, he had already played for over 20 hours. My son has always been obsessed with games, as they have given him an avenue of entertainment that he can’t obtain in real life. I am a father to my son Tony, who is now 38 years old. I am a 64 year old father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game.
